I'm enjoying this one much more than I enjoyed Ys7, and I enjoyed that quite a bit. From the mechanics to the storyas barebones as it is, it all seems to resonate a bit better. The story in Felghana, so far, is nowhere near as grand as 7, but, on the flipside, it's succinct, and feels far more characterdriven.

Kill the enemies inside, open the pot for gold, and then open the chest for 20 ravals. Some more enemies will come in. Kill them, and then teleport to the second save of the quarry. From there, head to the right, towards the broke bridge. You can now cross the bridge with your wind ring, and find a pendant.
Felghana, by contrast, feels much more constructed. Ys Seven's overworld was vast, but fun to explore. Felghana's overworld is a straight path to your destination, which feels just a step above a menu. Felghana makes up for this by having huge, sprawling dungeons typical to the series, something Seven didn't do.
Adol the Red has some trouble finding his footing, but his sword remains true in this remake of an Ys classic.
Yeah, on normal in Felghana you shouldn't run into situations where you're suddenly dealing 0 damage. Hated that about Napishtim. A couple of bosses might make you think about going back and grabbing a level. A lot of people consider Felghana to be the most difficult Ys but the toughest bosses are in Origin and Ys 1.
With the Silver Chime equipped, you can now kill the skeleton enemies and they will drop loot (some gold and 5 to 10 Raval ore). You can either go back to the platform area by backtracking or follow the path with Doonos to get back to the area with the square hole (this path is longer, but has a brown chest with some Raval ore on the way).

Im pretty sure there is one enemy at the end of the second dungeon who starts dropping it (in ones) then after that point foward the rest of the game it just becomes a normal drop. i wouldnt worry about it just spend it as you see fit. also the cost of upgrading stuff rises exponentially. makeing hoarding it really cruddy. your first sword literally costs like 1 to upgrade while stuff later on ...

Oath in Felghana has a very different play style from Seven, 8 and Celceta. It's much more retro styled. I don't recall there being a lot of puzzles, but there is a little bit of platforming from a semi topdown perspective. You have a simple sword attack and a couple of special moves or spells that you can change up as you go.

Harest Jul 24, 2013 8:39am. Both . Origin have a better replayability (3 characters to play with), but i prefered the environment of Felghana. In Origin, even if they are varied, it's in a tower. In Felghana it's a "normal" world. About the gameplay, they're both pretty close imo.

There will not be a lot of grinding no matter what difficulty you choose in this game. You'll just get a different experience curve. Basically, the experience given by enemies in each new area increases at a sharp exponential curve, so you'll quickly hit a wall where it becomes next to impossible to level any further without spending huge amounts of time (which you should never bother with).
