Is industries just broken? :: Cities: Skylines General Discussions

So much ore! Warehouses are all over 50% full, they appear to only store and export to other cities and not to any facility in my city, while at the same time my ore grinding plants are complaining about not enough raw materials with half full warehouse next to it. All of my processing facilities only import raw materials!

Yupp same here. Storage yard is filled 98% with raw material, but the sawmill that lies next to it is not getting raw materials from it. Ironically the sawmill gets raw materials from the "forest farms" that are further away than the storage yard. Same happens in my games.

What you have to do is set the storage building to fill up only. If you keep it on balanced for example and you produce lots of raw materials, it will fill up so quickly that the trucks are constantly busy with exporting to keep it balanced. Therefore, there will be no trucks to deliver the raw materials to your manifacturing buildings.

2) you had the "industrial space planning" policy activated. i turned it off and maybe your industry wont need so much raw materials as it will produce less. 3) you have basic industry which relays 100% on import. try making some wood and farm industry nearby and connect it with direct road or train. not too much tho.
